Andrés Y's letter ;)

My name is Andrés, i'm 16 years old. I study at Gabriel García Márquez high school, which is very near my house, so i'm not used to walk too much :). I live in Hortaleza, a calm neighbourhood, situated on the northeast side of town.
I'm average height and I take care over my health and my appearance. I have got brown hair and brown eyes too. I think I'm funny and I've got outgoing personality, but, at first I'm shy.
I really like basketball, and sometimes my friends joke about I'll be the next Ricky Rubio (a famous Spanish player). I play in a not very well team with Jose, another exchange participant. I like every kind of music, but that I like the most is Hip-Hop style.
I've already done another exchange in France in 2007, because I'm in a bilingual Spanish-French high school. I love to talk English and French, but I hate grammar, I pass up vocabulary, even, I like to know new words, but grammar is the driest part of a language.
I enjoy my self partying and going out with my friends, and also I love going shopping

I will introduce myself to you. My name's Clara and I´m 16. I'm not very tall, I have long brown hair and very dark brown eyes. I'm a very cheerful girl who loves laughing and spending very good times with her friends and with her family.
I live in Madrid, I used to live with my parents, but now, they are divorced, so I usually live in my mum´s house, and some days at the week I go to my dad´s house to visit him. My little brother´s name is David, and he has only 7 months.
I haven't got any pets, and I´m allergic to cats, but I like them. When I was younger, I asked my mum to buy a dog, but finally, she never bought me the dog.
I love swimming, I used to practise this sport twice a week, but this year I can´t continue because of the school ( It´s so much work). I also like listening to music, going out with my friends and celebrate parties with them. When I´ve time, I like going to the cinema and play the guitar. I´ve a Spanish guitar and a electric guitar. I prefer playing Spanish guitar because the sound of this instrument make me feel relaxed.
I love a lot of kind of music. I usually listen English and American singers but I love spanish music too. I don´t know any Swedish singers so you have to tell me someone¡
My favourite Spanish singer is Amaia Montero and I like listening to Katy Perry or Lady Gaga because they make funny and energetic music.

I´m studiyin 1º de bachillerato. The subjets that I don´t like are maths and physics and chemistry. The subjets that I love are Spanish language, English and French. I´ve studying french for five years.

The days when I haven´t got any classes , I go out with my friends, I stay at home with my family or I stay at home because I have to study.

I will introduce my self to you. I'm 16 years old. I'm medium high. I have got blond hair and small brown eyes. I'm a person very happy but a bit shy at first but then when I have trust whit someone i'm very funny and a bit madly.
I will tell you about my family and friends. I have one brother. He is 18 years old and he is very tall. He looks a lot like me. He's very bit. He doesn't study at school. My father's name's Jose Luis. He's medium high and he always looks angry but he's a person very funny and a bit heavy but I love him. My mother's name's Esther. She looks a lot like me too, she has got the same hair color and the same height. I live with them in Madrid. My friends are very important to me, they are very necessary in my life.
I live in Madrid since i was born, like my parents.
I haven't got any pet. A month ago i had a hamster but he died while i was on vacation.
I love a lot the music. I like rap music and rock music. I hate heavy music, but i love a lot the electric guitars, maybe i will buy one. I don't like a lot reading any books, i think that is a bit boring stay at home reading books, i prefer going to the cinema whit my friends or going to shopping. With my friends i usually go to the park and shopping whit my mother.
I don't like staying at the week in my house but almost always you must stay for studying.
My school is Gabriel García Marquez. It's a good school. My class is 1ºB, the best class i think. My favourite subject is biology, i like studying the animals. I want to be a biologist. The lest subject is philosophy, as for many of my class.
I speack english and french. I prefer french to english because i think that is easiest.

Hi!

I'll introduce myself to you. My name is Miriam and I'm 17 years old. I have brown eyes and brown hair, and medium length. At first I'm a bit shy but after a while I become very talkative.

I live with my parents, my brothers and sisters. I have four sisters and two brothers so we're seven in total. I'm the second oldest one. It isn't very normal in Spain to have such a big family , so people are surprised when I tell them about my family. My oldest sister goes to the university and the others still go to school.

Now I live in Madrid but I've lived in Paris these past two years. I love Paris and I want to go to the university there, though I don't know what I'm going to study yet. I love travelling and in the future I want to live in many different places and travel all over the world.

I love pets, when I was little I had a cat named Lisa but now we have a hamster called Teodor, because we're a lot at home.

I like listening to music, I like all types of music but the ones I listen to the most are pop, pop-rock and rap music, specially french rap music. I also like reading, romantic books or adventures ones...

I also like going to parties and going out with my friends; going to the cinema, to the disco... and doing many different things. I don't like sports at all because I'm very bad at them.

I speak Spanish (of course :) ), French and some English. I've been to France, England twice and to Italy.

My name is Javier and I`m sixteen years old. I`m medium high, I have got brown hair, brown eyes and I'm not a strong person and not fat, I'm a common boy.

In my family there are five people, me, my brother, my sister and my parents. I haven´t got  pets. I live in Madrid, near to the airport.

My hobbies are playing football, going out with my friends, surfing the Internet, listening to music...I play in a football team with other friends. I love football, my favourite team are Real Madrid because it's the best team.

In the school, my favourite subject are P.E. and technical drawing. I speak spanish and English, but I haven`t got a very good English...

I will introduce myself to you. My name's Sandra and I am 16. I'm tall, i have blond hair and blue eyes. I'm very happy, I love when I can smile, laugh and have fun with my people.
I live in Madrid and we're four people who are my parents, my brother Rubén who is 19 years and I.
I haven't animals but I like animals, so if anyone has I wouldn't mind at all. My hobbies are swimming the practice once a week, music, going out with my friends and celebrate birthdays, going to the cinema and dancing flamenco. I love to dance flamenco and i've been doing it since I was four. I also acted in some cultural centers and theaters with my group of flamenco.
My favourite Spanish singer is Dani Martin but I like all types of varied music and listen on the radio to top 40 and Máxima where they play all types of music that I like.
During the week, Monday through Friday I go to school Gabriel García Márquez, where I have been five years and in the evening I study. On weekends, when I can, I go around with my friends or I am with my family but now I haven't much time because there's a lot of studying in high school. I also love to match football league matches and my favourite team is "Atlético de Madrid" ans sometimes I go to the stadium to watch them play.
Now, in the high school I'm giving natural sciences and some of the subject they give are: Biology and Geology, Physics and Chemistry, Mathematics... and of language other than Spanish, I give English seven hours a week, spoken and written.

I will introduce myself to you. I’m Ana R. I am 16 years old. I have brown eyes and brown hair. I love football and I love to laugh all the time with my friends. I’m very funny and I like making jokes. Whenever I can I laugh at those who I have around me.

There are three people in my family. My parents and I. I don’t have brothers or sisters. My parents are very funny and nice, and my mother cooks very well. I hope you like the food that she cooks.

I live in Madrid, in Spain. I live in a normal flat, not too big or too small. I’m sure that you’ll like it.

I don’t have pets but I love animals, if you have pets there is not problem. The pet that I like are dogs.

I like all the kinds of music, except flamenco. “House” is the kind of music that I listen more, but I like very much Pop, Rap…..

I love football. My favourite team is “Real Madrid”. Whenever I can I will watch the matches at the stadium of Real Madrid.

Almost every weekend I go to my village, which is an hour from Madrid. I love my village and I love the people that live there. But other weekends I stay in Madrid and meet with my friends.

I also like reading books like “The pillars of the earth” from Kent Follett or “Three feet above the roof” from Federico Moccia.

I don’t like the high school. I have fun there, but the subjects are very boring. The subject that I detest is Maths. I study at the high school of Gabriel García Marquez, in Madrid. The subject that I like most is History.

I speak Spanish and English, and a bit of French. I would like to learn Italian, I love this language. If you speak Italian, you could teach me some words!

Hello everybody!
I will introduce myself to you. My name is Ana and I´m 16. I have long blond hair and green eyes. I´m medium build and tall.
How would I describe my personality? Well, I am a little bit shy at first but then I´m friendly, cheerful and sensible. One good thing about me it´s that people say I´m patient.
I live near school (only 5 minutes walking!) so I don´t have to get up too early.
I´ve a sister, she has started University this year, she´s 18 and she wants to be a vet. People say we look alike a lot but I hate it! I also live with my parents and with my dog- of course! It´s a yorkshire and it´s so cute!
I have 2 best friends, but they don´t go to Sweden. I get on very well with Gala and Bruno in the school.
In my free time I love listening to music such as rock or punk music ( for example Simple Plan, Sum 41 or My chemical romance) but I also listen to indie, like the Klaxons, One night only, or Kaiser Chiefs. I like some Swedish bands such as Mando Diao and Kent, but I seldom listen to them.
I´m really into reading and watching series! My favourite one is How I met your mother, it´s awesome! I´m trying to learn how to play the guitar but I´ve just started- in any case, I love guitar hero. Another thing that I love is Harry Potter´s books. I enjoy travelling too, for example I have been in Plymouth, London, Paris or Portugal.
In my school I´m studying technical drawing, maths, physics and so on, and I have studied French for five years. My favourite subject is English and the one I enjoy the least is French.
In the future I would like to be an architect but maybe it will be too difficult, so I will see.

Hello! I will introduce myself to you. My name's Nuria and I'm 16 years old. I've got curly hair and brown eyes. I'll tell you about my family, I live with my mother and my brother, Manuel. He's 14 years old and I think he's the best guy in the world. I've got a dog, its name's Rufo, it's small and white haired. I love it. I'm stuyding first of Bachillerato in Gabriel García Márquez. This is my first year in this school, and I think it's very nice. 


I'd like learning English because I know it's very important nowadays. I'd like teaching you spanish and I think I'd do it great because I love my language. I only speak spanish and a bit english, but before I studied french and I'd like to learn italian, I think it's a precious language.


About my personality, I'm always obstinate and sometimes I can be a bit oppressive. I'm very cheerful and realistic. I haven't got important hobbies. I like going out with my friends and going shopping, like every teenagers haha. I like vintage cinema and photography. I like travelling and learning about other countries and cultures. My prefer music is Beyonce, Ne-yo, Alice Keys.., like them. I don't like reading and manga neither. I don't like sports and I hate football. My name is Galaxia, but everyone calls me Gala. I’m 16 years old, and my birthday is the 30 may. I’m thin and tall (approximately 1’73m). My eyes are green (but sometimes they change to blue). I’ve blond long hair too.
At first, I can be a bit shy but if I feel confident with someone I'm very chatty. I am very prudent and sometimes too distrustful. I'm a constant person and I obtain everything that I propose myself. I am very creative and also dreamy, and I try to see my life hopefully.
I live with my parents and my brother. My father is a writer and he has writen over 10 books. My mother works in a hospital as a clerk. My brother is 23 years old and he studies at University, he wants to be a paleontologist.
I have 2 best friends who don’t come to the same school, but here I have met 3 very good friends: Ana, Bruno and Teo (but Teo can’t go to the exchange). They are very friendly and they always make me feel good.
I love animals but I don’t have any because my home is too small. I believe that, in a future, I will have a black cat and a Husky Siberian (They are so cute and they look like wolves)
I listening to hard rock music, heavy metal, power metal, punk rock… my favourite bands are : Iron Maiden, Green Day, Sonata Arctica and Mago de oz, but I also listening bands like: Nigthwish, Evanescence, Primal fear, Sum 41, Hammerfall, Saratoga, Rise Against, Three days grace, Bullet for my valentine, My chemical romance …
I like reading books, mangas, and watching TV series or animes on internet, I also like watching films (I don’t like horror films) but in my free time I prefer drawing (I love it!) I started drawing for 5 years in my own and now I have my own style. I write poems and stories too. Maybe, one day, I will be a writer like my father, but now I must study. My favourite subject is Biology, I think it is very nice and interesting. At the school we learn French like second language and I also study English like third language.
I do ice skating on Saturday morning and I play the guitar. I went to judo lessons but last year I had an injury in the knee during a combat of judo and I stopped to do it. Now, I’m going to drawing lessons on Thursdays afternoon to develop my technique.

Hi!
My name is Jose and, first of all, I'm going to introduce myself. I'm 16 years old. I'm average heigth and slim and I've got brown hair and brown eyes. I think I'm an extroverted person, and I love going to parties, going out with my friends and practise some sports, specially basketball. I play in a team with some friends. We're not very good, but at least we enjoy ourselves playing it. I also like playing videogames and listening to music. My favourite groups are The Black Eyed Peas, Pereza, El canto del loco... The last two ones are Spanish groups.
I've got a younger brother. He's called David and he's 12 years old. He studies in the same high school that me I live in Madrid with my parents and with him. We don't have any pets. We had some fish before, but they died and now my parents say that with my borther and me it's enough.
I'm studying English at an academy, and I've just taken the FCE exam, but I don't know if I've past it yet! I'm also studying French in the school.
In the future, I'd like to study telecommunications engineering, even if I knoe i'ts really difficult.
I've already been abroad. I've been in France twice and in England once.

I will like to introduce you myself. My name's Leyla and I'm 16. I'm blond and green-eyed. I'm chatty and cheerful and I like doing jokes.

I live in Madrid, just with my parents, because I'm a single daughter.

This is my first year in the Gabriel García Márquez school. I'm studying first of Bachillerato, and I have several subjects like Greek, Latin, History and English. I enjoy learning languages and in the future I would like being a translator.

I adore meeting new people from different cultures and traveling, that's why I'm looking forward to this exchange.

I don't like animals very much, but I don't mind if you have any pets.

My hobbies are dancing funky music, reading, cinema, listening to music and going out with my friends.

The books I like the most are fantastic fictions and romance fictions. My favourite are the Harry Potter Saga, the Twilight Saga and Pred and Perjudice. But, to be honest I love any kind of reading.

I like every kind of music but specially pop and pop rock. My favourite group is a Spanish one called El Canto del Loco, I also like Green Day, Lady Gaga, Rihanna...

This year I don't have many free time because I have to study a lot for the school and for the Bristish Council (where I'm learning English), but when I can I love going out with my friends. We usually go to the park and we like watching football matches together.

I don't like playing computer games (except The Sims), the gossip programans on the TV and reading comics or manga.

Bruno's letter

Hi!

My name is Bruno, and I'm 16. I have got dark hair and dark eyes, I'm a bit short and slim (not too much after chritsmas: I love eating sweets!). About how am I like, I'm friendly and chatty (some people say I'm too chatty), and I'm not a shy person. Bad things about how am I like? Well, ask to somebody, I won't tell anybody something bad about me!

I'm the student who lives furthest away from school, I don't live in Madrid, I live in a house in Uceda (probably no sweden knows where is that, because not too many spanish know where is that). It's a 45 km from Madrid, but don't worry. I've got a flat in Madrid (a lot smaller, but in Madrid). I live there, in Uceda, with my parents, my brother Nacho, one year younger than me, and my dog, Sancho, a Saint-Bernard who weighs almost 90 kg. It's lovely, because he's very affectionate, but it's not too intelligent.

My brother's name is Nacho, he studies at the same school that me, and he's a bit like me. My fathers are Alfredo and Maria, they were born in Uruguay, and they love dancing salsa.

When I'm not studying (I'm studying very much because this year the marks are important to go to university), I like listening to music for example. I love punk rock music, like Green Day or Sum41, hardcore (some bands) like Rise Against (my favourite band), or Post-Grundge like Three Days Grace. My favourite swedish group is Mando Diao, but I rarely listen to it. I also like playing basketball: I played in a team, but now I've decided to learn to play tenis, because I'm short to play basketball. Playing videogames and the bass are another things I like, and, very important to me, speaking with my friends. I love speaking, I can't stand the silence and I don't like watching TV neither.

I like school, because in the school I've learnt a lot of things, I've knewn my friends and I've travelled abroad. The year before I travelled to London with the school, in 2009 I went to Poitiers (France) and in 2008 I did an exchange with French students. I'm looking forward to go Sweden! I love travelling abroad. In the school, the subject I like the most is Biology (when I go to university, I'll study biology), and I like physic and philosophy too. I'm better in science than in lenguages, and I speak more French than English because I've studied more French than English in this five years.

My name is Estefanía. I´m 18 years old .
I´ve got green eyes, blond hair medium build and medium high. At first i´m a bit shy and quiet but after a time I talk a lot.
I have a little dog called Mika, she is a Yorkshire. I´m allergic to cats.
I love listening to heavy, rock and gothic music. I listen to Three days grace, Dragon force, Bullet for my valentine or Linkin park. I also like reading fantasy and scince fiction books and japanese comics.
I live with my parents and i have no brothers or sisters.
At weekend i go out with my friends. During the year we participate in many Cosplays´s competitions, and we do a lot of performances.
Cosplays are costumes of manga characters and in the different events like Expomanga, Expocomic, Japan Weekend We participate with our best cosplays and we ttry to win. In the last Expocomic we won the price to the best Videogame cosplay.

Intercambio Madrid-Estocolmo 2011 / 2011 Madrid-Stockholm Exchange

Alumnos de 1º de Bachillerato van a participar en un intercambio con dos Institutos públicos de Estocolmo: Norra Real y Södra Latin.

La idea surgió porque al final del curso pasado un grupo de alumnos/as suecos/as con una de sus profesoras, Pilar Ravina, que estaban de viaje de estudios en Madrid, visitaron nuestro Instituto ya que la profesora conocía a una compañera del centro: Juana Estarriol, a la que desde aquí le agradecemos el contacto. La profesora de los alumnos suecos habló con la jefa del departamento de Inglés y mostró su interés en realizar un intercambio con nuestro centro. Y así hemos puesto en marcha el proyecto.

En Suecia la mayor parte de la población habla inglés perfectamente, por eso nos parece una buena ocasión para que nuestros alumnos se desenvuelvan en otro país europeo con una lengua como el inglés que llevan estudiando muchos años.

Es un viaje cultural, para conocer otras realidades y costumbres y para realizar una convivencia con otra familia. Es superar el miedo o la inseguridad ante lo desconocido, practicar la tolerancia y sobre todo aprender activamente participando. Conocerán cómo funciona un instituto en otro país europeo y sobre todo convivirán con otra familia.

Nuestro alumnos irán a Estocolmo del 7 al 14 de abril de 2011 y los suecos vendrán a Madrid del 26 de abril al 3 de mayo de 2011. El alojamiento, la manutención, el transporte y las actividades de nuestros alumnos en Estocolmo correrá a cargo de las familias de los alumnos suecos y viceversa. Durante nuestra estancia allí, se realizarán las actividades propuestas por las profesoras suecas y aquí realizarán las actividades que nosotros propongamos y consensuemos. Ahora mismo estamos iniciando la elaboración del programa durante el intercambio.

Intentaremos que este intercambio no sea un simple viaje, sino una experiencia que amplíe el proceso educativo de los alumnos, para así establecer un punto de encuentro con otro país de la Unión Europea con la intención de crear un espacio de convivencia común.
