Finally the seventh of April came! We are leaving for Stockholm! We are supposed to meet at 7 a.m. at Barajas airport and everybody is on time. This is going to be all right!
The flight is great but when we are landing we have to go through some turbulences and some students are sick but they feel OK after some minutes.
Luis, one of the teachers, meets us at the airport and we want to get a train to Central station, but there is a general electric failure and we have to change the train tickets and get bus tickets. Pilar and Kerstin are waiting for us at Central Station and then we go to Södra Latin and meet the headmistress who greets our students with an enthusiastic welcome at the staff room where the most awaited meeting takes place. Every student recognizes his or her partner, speak in English and they offer us a cookies party. Thank you very much! Everything was delicious!
After that they go to their partners' homes to meet their families.
Por fin llegó el día, salimos a Estocolmo!! Quedamos a las 7 en la terminal 4 de Barajas y todos son muy puntuales. Esto va a ir bien!
El vuelo es estupendo, pero a la llegada pasamos por unas turbulencias fuertes justo al aterrizar y tenemos alguno mareado. Se pasa en minutos!!!
Luis, uno de los profes, nos espera en el aeropuerto y nos acompaña en autocar hasta la estación central donde están Pilar y Kerstin, las otras profesoras y desde allí vamos al instituto Södra Latin. Conocemos a la directora y en la sala de profesores tiene lugar el esperado encuentro de parejas. Todos se reconocen rápidamente, charlan en inglés y nos tienen preparada una cookies party. Muchas gracias!! Estaba todo riquísimo! Del Instituto cada uno se va con sus compañeros para conocer a las familias.
